Yeah they aren't dubbed yet, so I've been watching the subs. It's that good.

If you're just streaming them, both YouTube and Hulu offer Aniplex subtitled episodes at a two week delay from their original Japanese airing. There are several fansubs that usually have the sub up a day after it airs. And there is some site out there that streams the raw, and I believe they stream it live. So if you absolutely must see the new episode, subtitles or not, there's that.

I think watching it without subs would just piss me off. Maybe if I've read the manga chapter it would be acceptable but they passed where I stopped reading the manga a few episodes ago. So now if there weren't any subs I wouldn't have any idea what was going on.

I'll be the first to let you know when the subs are out. I miss the old English cast, hope they can get most of them on board.

Huh, Lust sure bought the farm early didn't she? Or does she come back at some point.

Either way, Mustangs kicking butt it seems.

Well you sure are progressing fast, you're almost halfway caught up already.

Yes, Lust goes early, though if the anime wasn't speeding along it wouldn't have seemed so soon. It was chpater 39 in the manga before she took her curtain call.

Also there was supposed to be some other stuff going on that they left out. The Xingese people were supposed to be fighting Envy and Gluttony above ground while Lust was taking care of the intruders underground. This fight introduced several things that they will either ignore or gloss over when they come up in the future. The Xingese people have the ability to sense the Homunculi by their distinctive ki. And when this comes up later in another episode, they'll just half mention it in one line.

Also during the fight we get some foreshadowing of Envy's true form. But before he transforms, Pride speaks from the shadows and tells Envy and Gluttony that they've been careless and let intruders enter their hideout. All this foreshadowing is completely ignored.

Otherwise, a great episode. I wish I saved the gif someone made of Mustang killing her, the effects for that scene were awesome. I've looked for it online, but, no avail. I could probably make a gif myself if I wanted to, but I'm too lazy.

Yeah, I'm loving the series so far. A lot of people are saying it's going to end around episode 63, so we still have a ways to go yet. They're basing that on the pace the series is moving at and how close it is to the manga. The problem is the manga hasn't completely finished and could last a few more months. Hopefully, we don't go down the path of filler ending if they catch up before it's over.

Good news everyone! The English dub just started last night on Adult Swim. Bad news, I completely missed it so I can't state my opinion just yet. People are already complaining about the casting choices on message boards.

Now it looks like I'll be downloading all the episodes again. Or maybe I should wait for the dual-audio's ripped from DVDs instead of downloading all the TV rips. Hell, I could make my own TV rips if I wanted to. I'm just downloading the first one so I can see what everyone's talking about.

Wow, the first time Al said something you could tell it wasn't the same. I guess the kid they got to voice him the first time is too old now, but it really sucks that they got a woman to play him. It's great to hear most of the old cast again. They got Ed, Roy, Hughes, Armstrong and Bradley. I went and checked out the casting information and it looks like most of the old names are there. It doesn't look they got Scar's old VA though, that's the only one that stands out to me.

The opening and the ending have been chopped up for time constraints. Fortunately it isn't one of [as]'s horrible let's just speed things up. Instead they just cut some of the opening/ending out. They managed to make the transitions relatively smooth. You can tell the song has jumped, but if I hadn't heard the real opening I might not have noticed.

Man, I just downloaded episode 46 and it has this stupid Tsunami warning for Japan taking up like 1/3 of the screen.

And it doesn't go away!

heh, yeah that was pretty funny... according to sankaku complex there are plenty of angry perverts about the part with winry half taking over her top being covered in the worlds ugliest censor bar XD

In addition, I take back my previous criticism of Brotherhoods music... Its growing on me and the latest opening and closing are two of the best themes i've ever heard.
