Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Great series. Honestly, I couldn't stop. The movie came out tonight and I wanted to go see it. Well, of the first book. Anyway, being jobless sucks. You guys should read them, if you haven't already.

I haven't read the books, but it seems to be the genre I normally read/see. I won't be able to see it in the theatre though due to just switching jobs. Will definately pick it up on DVD.

seems too "young adult" for me - not saying that I don't read things based on their intended audiences, but the premise just smacks of Artemus Fowl or Animorphs.

Been rereading the Dresden Files, heartily recommend.

It might be, considering I'm a young adult. Very easy read, but interesting enough. You could always just partially read one in a bookstore or something. Dresden Files? I'll look them up.

begins with Storm Front. I believe there's nine of them in the series.

Haven't read it... Reeks of Harry Potter imitation and I have yet to see or hear anything that would convince me otherwise.

Exactly the same thoughts I had, the whole trailer screamed Harry Potter to me, and then when the title showed up it looked exactly like a Harry Potter title style. I was like, could it be anymore of a clone?
